Messer - Geschäftsbericht 2008

Messer France has a specialty gases plant in Mitry-Mory, five filling plants and various CO2 production locations throughout France – e.g. one with a capacity of 120,000 tons per year in Lavéra – as well as an air separation unit in Beauvais and an acetylene plant in St. Herblain. Messer France has product slices of air separation units in Strasbourg and L’Isle-d’Abeau.

Messer France is well known for its innovative applications, particularly for the food industry, and continues to build on this strength through its state-of-the-art technical competence center in Mitry-Mory.

The fusion of several gas companies resulted in the creation of the company Airgaz in 1973, which purchased SIAC, France’s second-largest supplier of CO2, in 1987. In 1989, this company became a wholly owned subsidiary of Messer after the Linde holdings had been sold. Since 1997, Airgaz/SIAC has been run under the name Messer France. The headquarters are located in Puteaux, near Paris.
