Good plan: the construction of a corporate headquarters

In June 2008, the Messer family unveiled, for the first time, their plans for a new corporate headquarters, events centre and industrial gases and welding museum as well as the integration of the existing station building as a canteen/restaurant. All the central business functions of the Messer Group and the MEC Group are to be brought together at the Bad Soden am Taunus site. The entrepreneurial family plans to invest a total of about 20 million euros.

In the same month, a contract with Deutsche Bahn AG for the purchase of a site in Bad Soden am Taunus was signed by the Messer family’s property company. The Messer family will let the buildings, which are due to be completed in 2011, to Messer Group GmbH, Messer Industriegase GmbH, Messer Information Services GmbH and Messer Industrie GmbH on long-term leases.
